Medford Firefighters Assist at Structure Fire in Patchogue

On December 14, Medford Fire Department crews were dispatched to Patchogue to assist at a working structure fire.

A Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) was requested, and Medford firefighters responded promptly to support operations on scene. Crews remained in service for approximately two hours, providing critical standby support to ensure the safety of firefighters operating inside the structure.

All personnel operated with a high level of professionalism and coordination before being released and returning safely back to Medford.

The Medford Fire Department commends the outstanding teamwork demonstrated by all agencies involved. Incidents like these highlight the importance of mutual aid and the strong partnerships shared among neighboring departments.

Residents are reminded to check that smoke alarms are working properly and to have a fire escape plan in place. Early detection and preparation can make all the difference in an emergency.
